loft beds

ed01I’ve made several loft-beds in Edinburgh and France.  It’s quite common in Edinburgh to find a box-room in the centre of the flat, and usually they’re too small to fit a double-bed and furniture. However, the ceilings are often over 3.5m high so it’s perfect to build a loft-bed and free up all the floor space.  In some cases it transforms a tall, narrow, single room into a spacious double with room for furniture, desk and a sofa.

Unfortunately  I’ve lost pictures of some of the beds I’ve built but you’ll get the idea from the pictures below.
